Round access panels provide protected openings in ceilings and walls for access to building engineering services where the round outline continues architectural themes blending with other fittings.  The narrow 27mm profile can be used in all types of wall or ceiling construction.  The panels consist of a removable door tray and frame fully finished in powder coated white which can be overpainted on site to blend with the surrounding surface.
 
There are two frame options for the Round Panel.  A beaded Frame Type (Code RP SBF) with perforated flange to key into the surrounding membrane, used where the surface has yet to be finished.  Or the Picture Frame Type (Code RP PF) where the solid flange sits on the surface of the wall or ceiling and covers the cut edge of the aperture, used where the surface has already been finished . The beaded frame is shown below.

Technical & Fitting Details

Door tray & frame – Spun from 1.2mm gauge Zintec electro-galvanised mild steel. 25 mm wide frame either perforated or solid finished in polyester powder coat white RAL 9010 20% Gloss

Locating mechanism – The door is supported on concealed factory inserted steel pins located in the frame.

Preparation – Prepare a clear trimmed opening in the structure 5mm larger than the panel ordered

Fitting - Using the holes provided in the side wall and top flange of the frame screw fix into the trimmers.

Operation - To open the door push the door into the frame slightly and twist.  The door will drop away from the frame.

A 100 mm removable retaining strap holds the door safely whilst the door is in the open position.  In walls ensure the pins are orientated to support the doors weight.
