Project Study

Location:
London, W1J
Project type:
Commercial Hotel
Products used:
Minimalist Roof Hatch

The Ritz Hotel was originally built in 1906 and is known as the first steel-framed building of importance in London. Standing at seven storeys the hotel resembles a French Chateau in a neoclassical light. The same is said for the interior, is an embodiment of luxury. The Ritz has a colour palette of red, blue and polished gold running as a theme throughout.
Structurally, The Ritz was inspired by The Flatiron Building located in New York City. We were asked to supply one of our Electrically Operated Roof Hatches for any easy access maintenance work located on the roof of the hotel.
