Lock & Keyhole Options

When it comes to access panels and riser doors, security and aesthetics are among the highest priorities. Below we have listed the array of locks and keyhole combinations that are available to choose from.

Lock & Keyholes for Access Panels

1 Budget Lock and SLIK

1. Budget Lock & SLIK

The Budget lock is a steel galvanized, square drive lock that is rivetted or screwed to the rear face of our access panels.Ā  Operated with a plastic square-ended key accessed through a keyhole in the face of the panel.

Our patented SLIK ā€˜Spring Loaded Invisible Keyholeā€™ system seamlessly blends the panel surface across the face of the keyhole making it almost invisible.

Large doors can have more than one lock or use a multiple-locking option (See Option 6).

The Budget lock with SLIK is a fire tested solution.

2 Budget Lock and Cap

2. Budget Lock & Cap

The option of choosing a plastic cap to conceal the keyhole is available to most panels and fitted as standard to the Value Range product. See Option 1 for details of the Budget lock. Ā Ā The plastic cap can be painted over to match the wall surface. Where the panel is being used for extended periods there is a storage position inside the door so the Cap doesnā€™t get lost. Replacement caps are available if the worst should happen.

The Budget lock with Cap is a fire tested solution.

3 Tamperproof Budget Lock

3. Tamperproof Budget Lock

This is a medium security forend that operates the Budget lock. (See Option 1 for details of the Budget lock). Comprising a radial pin tumbler lock and key with over 27,000+ combinations. We supply the locks keyed alike for easy key replacement. The mechanism is chrome-finished and water-resistant. To operate the key must be pushed into the escutcheon against the spring-loaded mechanism and turned while pressure is still applied to the mechanism.

The Tamperproof Budget lock is a fire tested solution.

4. Budget lock with Security Insert

The Budget lock (See Option 1 description) can be fitted with a variety of shaped key options from Triangular shaped, star-shaped, double pinhole etc. Supplied on special order please ask for the range of options available.

The Budget lock with Security Insert is a fire tested solution.

4 Touch Catch

5. Touch Catch

Touch Catches can be fitted to most of our smaller doors in walls and ceilings. The mechanism just needs a simple press of the panel on the catch side to ā€˜popā€™ the door open. Two catches are fitted for each door so the panel sits evenly in its frame. The catches can be adjusted in the ā€˜zā€™ plane to align the door face and frame.Ā  Touch Catches with Tile doors are very popular avoiding the need for tile cutting around a keyhole. Ā We donā€™t recommend large ceiling doors to be mounted on touch catches as door alignment can be difficult to maintain. Ā

The Touch Catch is not a fire rated solution.

5 3 Point Budget Lock and SLIK

6. 3 Point Budget Lock & SLIK

For larger doors in walls and ceilings a lock that throws locking rods into the top and bottom of the frame and locks at a central or offset point is preferable to using multiple locks. Operated by a single keyhole position and engaging with the frame in each locking corner the door is held flush with the frame. Especially noticeable in ceiling applications where doors that are manufactured perfectly flat are fitted into imperfect ceilings. The locking rods lift the doors and avoid door corners hanging below the frames. We try to design for a Wet trade tolerances compared to a precision metal component where possible.

Multiple locking Budget lock with SLIK is a fire tested solution.

6 Euro 3 Point Budget Lock and SLIK

7. Euro 3 Point Budget Lock & SLIK

For larger doors in walls and ceilings a lock that throws locking rods into the top and bottom of the frame and locks at a central or offset point is preferable to using multiple locks. Operated by a single keyhole position and engaging with the frame in each locking corner, the door is held flush with the frame.

7 Euro Cylinder Mortice Deadlock No Latch

8. Euro Cylinder Mortise Deadlock (No Latch)

For single point high security locking to smaller doors where a multiple point locking system would not be necessary. Operated by the Euro-cylinder key only the lock is a double throw mechanism. Two keys are supplied with each door.

The Euro-cylinder Mortise Deadlock is a fire tested solution.

Lock & Keyhole Options for Riser Doors

8 Euro Cylinder Multiple Point Lock With Slikā€‹
9. Euro Cylinder Multiple Point Lock With Slik

A substantial lock body fitted as standard to the Riser Door Range for doors weighing up to 100kg per leaf. Throwing multiple stainless steel tongues at the locking point, latching operation via the euro-cylinder key & the Square drive key and operating locking rods that locate into the head and threshold of the frame. Fitted with a Stainless steel forend mortised plate into the leading edge of the door. The cylinder can be exchanged as another mortise lock. We recommend using the lock with the Square drive key as the airtight acoustic and compressive intumescent seals fitted to these doors as standard require pressure to be applied to the door face to open the door.

The Euro-Cylinder Multiple Locking Mortise Lock with SLIK is a fire tested solution.

9 Multiple Point Lock With SLIK Only
10. Multiple Point Lock With SLIK Only

As Option 9 above operated with a Square drive key only concealed behind the patented SLIK system. This is the most discrete solution for the Riser door where security access to the riser is not a concern.

The Multiple Locking Mortise Lock with SLIK only is a fire tested solution.

10 Multiple Point Lock With Euro Cylinder Onlyā€‹
11. Multiple Point Lock with Euro Cylinder Only

As Option 10 above but with only the Euro-Cylinder operating the lock. The Euro-Cylinder operated the latch first then throws the deadlock tongues and locking rods is used. We do not recommend this arrangement except for much smaller Riser doors as the force required to operate the mechanism can overwhelm the small euro-cylinder key

The Euro-Cylinder Multiple Locking Mortise Lock without SLIK is a fire tested solution.

11 Multiple Point Lock With SLIK Plus
12. Multiple Point Lock with SLIK+

As Option 9 above with the entire mechanism concealed behind the SLIK+ system. The SLIK+ finger-nail operated cover opens by prying the cover open to reveal the Square drive & Euro-cylinder position. Held shut with an adjustable height magnet the combination distracts the eye from the locking position when closed.

The Multiple Point Locking Mortise Lock with SLIK+ is a fire tested solution.
