Alto Ceiling Hatches provide concealed access for larger openings in ceilings with 100mm insulation smoke, fire, acoustic and air tightness certification.
‘Alto’ Hatches from the Portuguese meaning tall and strong are available in single and double door combinations up to 2m by 1.2m wide with 2 hour fire certification.
The Alto Ceiling Hatch is available with pivoting or continuous piano hinges which can securely support heavy, oversized doors.

Alto Ceiling Hatches are finished in powder-coated white and can be over-painted to blend with the surrounding surface. The larger panels have full length piano hinges with the smaller panels using our unique pivot hinges. Alto Ceiling Hatches comply with all the building regulations for insulation, air tightness, L1 & L2, NHBC size requirements, robust documentation and are also fire rated.
Frame Options
There are two frame options for the Alto Ceiling Hatches. A beaded frame type with perforated flange to key into the surrounding membrane. This is used where the surface has yet to be skimmed or tape and jointed. Or the picture frame, where the solid flange sits on the surface of the wall or ceiling. This covers the cut edge of the aperture and is used when the surface has already been finished and decorated.

Fire Rated
Available with up to 2 hour fire rating. Fire testing undertaken independently by BM TRADA meeting both EN and BS standards in UKAS approved test laboratories. Certification available upon request.
Available to a maximum reduction of 44 dB Rw. Testing carried out under laboratory conditions to BS EN ISO140-3: 1995 by an independent test centre.
