When in the build sequence should this panel be installed?

Before the skim coat. The Contract Range Plasterboard Door is installed at first fix or after boarding, then the surrounding plasterboard and door face are skimmed and painted together so the panel is invisible in the finished wall.

Is a fire-rated version available?

Yes - the Contract Range Plasterboard Door is available with up to two hours fire resistance in walls, for sizes up to 600x600 mm. The one-hour and two-hour options are both independently tested to EN and BS standards. Note: fire rating applies to wall installations only, not ceilings.

Can it be used in a ceiling as well as a wall?

Yes. The Contract Range Plasterboard Door is available for both wall and ceiling apertures - select the appropriate option when ordering.

What lock options are available?

Available with the SLIK invisible keyhole or the tamperproof RPT lock. Both are compatible with the plasterboard door - the SLIK option is especially popular where the finish must be completely uninterrupted.

What sizes can I order?

Standard sizes range from 200x200 mm to 1200x600 mm. Bespoke sizes are available - contact the technical sales team.
